You Are Honorable
U R Honorable Program is a peer education program that serves men of color who may engage in risky sexual behaviors that place them at high-risk of HIV infection or are unaware of their status. U R Honorable engages the community, outreaches to men and their families, creates partnerships with health departments, community-based organizations, direct service agencies and provides education and information about the prevention of HIV\AIDS, and STD’s . The program builds the capacity within individuals to value their own worth and leads men young and older to not only support safer sexual behavior practices for others but for themselves as well.
You Are Worthy
U R Worthy Program for men young and older(U R Worthy) addresses the needs of men young and older that are in high-risk situations.U R Worthy provides guidance, life-skills and leadership training and educational services to all men who live in high-risk environments marked by high crime rates, gangs, poverty, low-performing schools and escalating rates of HIV/AIDS. U R Worthy explores and affirms the dynamic masculinity of men of color young and older, through self, family, friends and the community. Opportunuties are created for men young and older to confront negative and positive portrayals of men of color young and older to further define what it means to be atomically sound inside and outside. U R Worthy encompasses the following five service areas: Life Coaching , Educational Support Services, Life-Skills Development , One on One Mentoring, Social and Recreation Activities and Arts and Sciences.
You Are Chosen
U R Chosen Program (U R the Change) participants organize and speak out about the violence and poverty that impacts the lives of men young and older of color. The goals of the program are to provide a safe place where men young and older speak freely and learn about their personal power.U R Chosen (U R the Change) helps young men recognize the importance of establishing personal boundaries, particularly in regard to their bodies, and use their voices to advocate for the rights of men young and older throughout the Omaha and worldwide communites. The program focuses on a three-pronged approach to addressing the issue of violence against men young and older: peer outreach, community engagement and political advocacy.
You are Leaders
U R Leaders is an entrepreneurial program that provides career exploration guest speakers, workshops and field trips, job/business readiness skills. U R Leaders is designed to equip men young and older with the skills, work ethic, experience and self-confidence needed to become financially independent, successful, empowered entrepreneurs. U R Leaders program focuses on career exploration, the basics of entrepreneurship and financial management, and professional skills development.
He Is Me
He Is Me, means Brothers Helping Each other Initiate Support Motivation Empowerment. This group focuses on men assisting each other with issues that impact their everyday lives. This is a group that is specifically designed to communicate with other men by talking, listening and giving feedback.
It's A Wrap
It's A Wrap, which means Its Time Serious American Men Redefine Self And Prosper program provides the complete tell all. The goal is to have a positive impact on the lives of men of color, allowing them the opportunity to form strong and lasting bonds with each other, a supportive network for a safe and comfortable outlet for self-expression. This enhanses self-esteem, social and spiritual wellbeing. Men are involved in regular weekly workshops addressing issues such as health and wellness,life skills, carrer assessment and educational advancement. This program will redefine you.
Program A: Holding My Brother Up Circle, is for young men 19 and older. Program B: My Brother and Me Circle, is for young men 13-18.
